Nestled in the tranquil bush on an elevated site overlooking the Stunning Ohiwa harbour you’ll find this humble abode. A renovation project brought to life by an enthusiastic owner wanting to maximise views and indoor outdoor flow to connect the building with its environment.

By extending to the north and adding large opening doors as well as a sheltered deck area and clear glass balustrading meant occupants were given an uninterrupted view to enjoy while sitting round the fire or having meals in the open plan kitchen and dining.

This project involved close work with the owners, local iwi, engineers and builders to ensure the final outcome was going to be something to be enjoyed for years to come.
